Artist Profile

I've always intended to take up painting and in 2015 I decided to give it a try.

Starting with oil paints, I copied photographs and had a few lessons but mostly progressed with trial and error.

Now retired, I have time to attempt pastels and watercolours and learn more about what makes an appealing painting. I particularly like painting landscapes and am always on the lookout for a good vista.

I find painting is a great way to relax and its given me a new appreciation of how light and colour affects a scene.
