Artist Profile
Annette first discovered a love of painting as a fifteen year old. when studying art at high school. Now almost forty years later her affair with the acrylic medium continues.
From the birds, flora and wildlife that call South Australia home, to the pristine beaches of Kangaroo Island and the mainland coast, each of her paintings has been inspired by what Annette sees through the lens of her camera.
Using acrylic paint, these images are then meticulously preserved in intricate detail onto canvas.
With my camera constantly slung over my arm, these moments are usually memories of happy times spent with my family.
Sometimes these moments are the joy of a ball game on the beach. At times they can be a passing bird in flight,
or the reminiscence of a pristine beach and how I would like to remember my visit.
At times they are that moment of connection between myself and an animal who reveals its soul to me through its eyes.
In transforming these images onto canvas, so that you can view the world as I view it,
I hope you enjoy my 'Captured Moments'!"
Annette currently exhibits artwork at Top of the Torrens Gallery, Birdwood, where she is the exhibition coordinator, Art @ Goolwa Gallery,
